Sad, shocking news

Thursday Night Ladies...I have some sad news, our wonderful Ann lost her husband last Friday. Such a shock... Please remember Ann and her family in your prayers.




Wagner, Thomas J.

Thomas J. Wagner, 65, of Fond du Lac, died Friday, August 16, 2013, at his residence. He was born September 27, 1947, in Fond du Lac, the son of Henry and Ruth Bunnow Wagner. Thomas was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from November 1966 - October 1972 during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged as a sergeant receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal. On October 5, 1973 he married Ann L. Stiedaman at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fond du Lac. Thomas worked as a machinist at Mercury Marine for 40 years, retiring in 2009. He was a member of Holy Family Parish and the American Legion Post #75. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of his salt water aquariums.

 He is survived by his wife, Ann; one son, Jeremy Wagner, Minneapolis, MN; two brothers, Michael (Dianne) Wagner, Fond du Lac and Allen Henning, Fond du Lac; his father and mother-in-law, Otto and Alice Stiedaman, Fond du Lac; one sister-in-law, Mary Pautsch, Beaver Dam. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers-in-law, Jon Stiedaman and Joel Stiedaman.

The visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again from 10:00 - 11:00 AM on Thursday at the church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 22, 2013, at Holy Family Parish, 271 4th Street Way, Fond du Lac. Cremation will follow the traditional services. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Additional information and guest book may be found at www.ueckerwitt.com.

Tomorrow, Saturday is Maxwell Street Day here in Mayville...Other years we displayed some of our wares out on the sidewalk.   This year we have WAY too much to move outside..so make sure to come in and browse.

Loose Ends will be open Monday July 29 from 10 to 5.  A normal Monday would find us closed....but due to the going out of business sale, our hours will be expanded to allow more folks to take advantage of the sale.  Yarn, fixtures, come and get it!

It's been a good run.....

It's been a good run, almost 9 years..but  it's time for me to announce Loose Ends will be closing on August 31....Very sad for me, but many things have changed, both in the business and my personal life that necessitate a change.

Today starts the going-out -of- business SALE!!! 15% off everything in the shop....yarn, needles, bags, buttons..just about everything.. Fixtures too...we have lots of cool stuff that we have used for props over the years, all move out... More added daily,,, shop early for best selection...

Summer is nice time to try something new...spread your wings a bit... Here at Loose Ends we a trying a new idea or two...
First, we have "Top-Notch Revisited"!  This a a corner in the shop devoted to re-purposed, re-designed clothing...Womens and mens, top-notch clothing at bargain prices! Come in and check it out. New things added weekly.
