Free Pattern

Many of you have asked for the fingerless mitts pattern that I use to knit the mitts that I sell in the shop...I like this pattern because it's easy and the ribbing allows for "one size fits most" kind of thing...

This is a "bare bones" pattern,,,,if you neeed help with it, just stop in at Loose Ends..

Easy Fingerless Mitts
Worsted weight Yarn
Size 6 or 7 Double point needles
All increases are lifted increases

Cast on 32 stitches (36 for larger mitts)
Join to work in the round
Work in Knit 2, purl 2 ribbing for 5 to 6 inches.
Thumb gusset:
Round 1:  Knit 1, Place marker, increase 1, place marker, knit 1, purl 2, continue in ribbing
Round 2: Work in ribbing as established, working stitch between markers in knit.
Round 3 Knit 1, Slip marker, Increase 1, knit 1, Increase 1, slip marker, continue in ribbing.
Round 4: Work in ribbing as established, working stitches between marker in knit
Round 5: Knit 1, Slip marker, Increase 1, knit 3, Increase 1, slip marker, continue in ribbing.
Continue in this manner until there are 13 stitches between markers.
Next round, work in ribbing, transferring 13 stitches between markers to a holder.
Work about 2 inches more, bind off.

Transfer 13 stitches from holder to double points, pick up one or two stitches at the “join”, work about 1 ½ inches in knit, bind off
